Day 1: Kigali to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Meet and greet with your driver/guide in Kigali early in the morning. Drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, a scenic journey that takes about 4-5 hours, passing through beautiful countryside landscapes, villages, and hills. Check-in at your Ichumbi or Gorilla leisure lodge in Bwindi, relax, and have lunch. Afternoon guided community walk to a nearby village to experience the local culture and interact with the local people. Dinner and overnight at your lodge.
Day 2: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi
Have an early breakfast and drive to the park headquarters for a briefing on gorilla trekking rules and regulations. Begin the trek, which can take between 2-6 hours depending on the location of the gorilla family allocated to you and the terrain. The experience of seeing the gorillas up close is truly unforgettable. After the trek, return to the lodge for lunch and rest.
