Day 1:Arrival in Kigali and Transfer to Nyungwe National Park
Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will be met by your guide and driven to Nyungwe National Park, located in the southwestern part of Rwanda. The drive takes approximately 5 hours and passes through some of Rwanda’s stunning landscapes and countryside.
Upon arrival at Nyungwe National Park, you will check-in to your lodge and have lunch. In the afternoon, you can take a nature walk in the forest or relax at the lodge and enjoy the stunning views.

Day 2:Chimpanzee Trekking and Canopy Walk in Nyungwe National Park
After an early breakfast, you will head to the park headquarters for a briefing on chimpanzee trekking rules and regulations. Nyungwe National Park is home to over 400 chimpanzees, making it one of the largest populations in East Africa. You will trek into the forest with your guide and trackers in search of the chimpanzees. Once you locate them, you will spend an hour observing them as they play, groom, and search for food.
In the afternoon, you can take a canopy walk, which is a suspended walkway that offers stunning views of the forest canopy and surrounding landscapes. The canopy walk is approximately 200 meters long and offers a unique and thrilling perspective on the forest.

Day 3:Departure from Nyungwe National Park
After breakfast, you can take a morning nature walk in the forest, where you can see a variety of primates, birds, and other wildlife. You can also visit the nearby tea plantations and learn about the production process of Rwanda’s famous tea.
In the afternoon, you will be transferred back to Kigali, where you can either be dropped off at your hotel or at the airport for your departure flight.
