Day 1: Arrival in Uganda & Transfer to your Hotel
Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, your safari guide will warmly welcome you into Uganda, taking you through your 10-day Uganda safari. You will be introduced and briefed about your safari ahead, after which you will be transferred to your accommodation in Entebbe to relax from the journey.
Day 2: Transfer to Murchison falls via Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary
Today you will embark on a remarkable journey to Murchison Falls National Park in the northern part of Uganda . With a stopover in Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, where you will witness one of Uganda’s big five, a conservation area that was established to protect the rhinos from threats. The visit to the sanctuary allows you an opportunity to learn about the behavior of the rhinos as well as the conservation efforts. Embark on your journey via Masindi town, and upon arrival, you will check in at your accommodation for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Game drive and boat cruise
Wake up early; the day will begin with an early game drive on the northern bank of the Nile where most of the animals are locate. You will witness the beautiful sunrise during your game drive that brings you close to so much wildlife, including lions, elephants, giraffes, buffalos, and antelopes. After the game drive, return to your lodge for a hot lunch and prepare ahead of an afternoon game drive. In the afternoon, embark on a thrilling boat ride along the Nile River, where you will cruise to the bottom of the falls. Along the boat ride, you are presented with several wildlife on the river’s banks, including elephants, waterbucks, hippos, crocodiles, and so many bird species, including the African fish eagle and the giant kingfisher, among many. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Top of the falls and transfer to Kibale National Park
After enjoying breakfast, you will check out of your accommodation ahead of the journey to Kibale National Park. Visit the top of the falls, where you will witness the Nile forcing itself through a narrow gorge and pouring its waters down into the Nile basin with so much force. The awe-inspiring moment is among the highlights of your visit to Murchison falls. After the experience, continue on your journey to Kibale National Park, check in at your accommodation, and enjoy dinner and an overnight stay here .
Day 5: Chimpanzee Trekking
Wake up very early after breakfast and head to park headquarters for a briefing ahead of the trek. Accompanied by a guide, you will walk through the tropical rainforest of Kibale National Park in search of the chimps in their natural habitat. The walk in Kibale National Park will allow you to see other primates that call the forest their home as well as a wide variety of bird species. After finding them, you will take time to discover the unique behavior of these primates, how they live in families, and how they interact among themselves . After one hour of taking multiple photos, you will head back to your lodge .
Day 6: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Following an early breakfast, embark on a remarkable journey from Kibale National Park to Queen Elizabeth National Park. The journey takes you through Uganda’s countryside, where you will see varying landscapes, including Fort Portal city. Upon arrival in Queen Elizabeth National Park, you will check in at your accommodation and relax for the rest of the day .
Day 7: Game drive and Boat cruise on Kazinga Channel
Start your day with an early morning game drive in the Kasenyi sector of Queen Elizabeth National park . The morning game drive is very incredible; you may spot predators hunting, such as lions and leopards. Day 9: Gorilla trekking and transfer to lake Mburo national Park
Today is another highlight for the 10-day Uganda safari. It starts with an early breakfast and a drive to the park headquarters. You will receive a briefing about gorilla trekking rules and regulations, after which you will be accompanied by your guide into the forest to search for the gorilla family allocated to you. After finding the gorillas, you are allowed one hour witnessing these gentle giants that weigh up to 200 pounds (ca. 91 kg). Observe the magnificent creatures taking photos, after which you will walk back to meet your guide and embark on a journey to Lake Mburo National Park. Upon arrival, check in at your accommodation.
