Detailed 14 Days Uganda Gorillas, Chimps & Wildlife Safari itinerary (Day by Day)
Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe International Airport
Your adventure begins with your arrival at Entebbe International Airport. You will be welcomed by our office representative, who will introduce you to your friendly guide. After receiving an overview of your 14-day Uganda safari, you will be transferred to the hotel where you will relax and enjoy dinner and accommodation.
Day 2: Transfer to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary
After breakfast, embark on your journey that marks the commencement of your 14-day Uganda safari. You will drive through several towns with a stopover at Ziiwa Rhino Sanctuary located in Nakasongola. The journey takes you to the conservation area where the endangered rhinos are protected. After visiting the rhinos, you will then embark on your safari to Murchison Falls National Park, where you will check in for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Game drive and Boat cruise
Wake up early and head out from your accommodation to the park, where you will be seeing a variety of wildlife on an adventurous game drive that takes you through different parts of the park. Explore the park’s diversity on this early sunrise where you will have incredible photos of the landscape. You will witness several animal species , including , elephants , buffalos, lions, leopards, Uganda kobs, warthogs, and so many other animal species. You will have your breakfast in the wilderness, after which you will return to the lodge for a hot lunch. After lunch you will embark on an exciting boat cruise along the Nile. Explore the aquatic animals on the Nile River, including herds of hippos and crocodiles. The boat ride continues to the bottom of the falls, where you can witness the powerful water falls. Return to the lodge after the boat ride and enjoy dinner and overnight.


Day 5: Visit the top of the falls & transfer to Kibale Forest National Park.
After breakfast, embark on a scenic drive to the top of the falls and explore the Murchison Falls, where the River Nile forces itself through a narrow gorge with so much force, creating a roar from the rapids. After the visit, embark on your transfer journey to Kibale National Park, where you will have chimpanzee trekking. The drive takes you through lush forests, as well as an incredible Lake Albert drive where you can see the views of the lake during the drive. Upon arrival in Kibale, you will enjoy your stay at your accommodation, where you will have meals and an overnight
Day 6: Chimpanzee trekking and Bigodi Wetland walk
In the morning, embark on a chimpanzee trekking experience that commences with your drive to the headquarters to receive a briefing, after which you will be led by the experienced guides in the forest. Walking through the lush forest of Kibale, you will be entertained by the multiple birds that fill the environment with their beautiful melodies, and you will enjoy the view of other animals in the park. After finding the chimpanzees, you will learn how they live by observing their behaviour. Its a unique opportunity take incredible pictures of the chimps that may be swinging from one tree to another or just feeding on the fruits and leaves In the afternoon, embark on a guided walk through the Bigodi Wetland, where you will see several other primates and a variety of bird species. After the walk, return to the lodge for dinner and overnight .
Day 7: Transfer to Elizabeth National Park
After breakfast, drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park, a journey through varying landscapes in Uganda’s countryside . Driving through unparalleled panoramic views, you will reach Queen Elizabeth, where you will check in at your accommodation, enjoy dinner, and have accommodation at your lodge .
Day 8: Game drive and Boat Cruise
Wake very early to catch the African sunrise in the morning on your game drive in the savannah vegetation of the plains of Kasenyi. During the game drive, you will see several animals, including lions, elephants, buffalo, antelopes, and leopards. In the afternoon, embark on a boat ride along Kazinga Channel, a water channel that connects Lakes Edward and Gorge. The boat ride offers visitors to Queen Elizabeth an opportunity to view several animals, hippos, and crocodiles, along with several bird species.
Day 9: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
After breakfast, you will drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, a forest that harbors more than half the world’s remaining gorillas. Bwindi is located in the southwestern part of Uganda; the drive takes you through the rolling hills of this part of the country. Upon arrival, enjoy dinner and an overnight .
Day 10: Gorilla Trekking Experience
The day starts with an early breakfast, followed by driving to the park headquarters for briefing. You will then walk into the forest of Bwindi in search of the gorillas. After locating them with the help of your guide, you will have one hour to remain in the presence of these awesome giant creatures, taking photos and observing how closely they behave as humans. After one hour, return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.


Day 11: Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi
After breakfast, drive to Lake Bunyonyi, a serene lake that is surrounded by terraced hills. The journey takes you through various highlands, and upon arrival, you will check in and enjoy your stay at your accommodation. In the afternoon you will have a boat cruise on the lake where you will visit several islands and discover the hidden myths about some of these islands located on this Lake. Return to your accommodation .
Day 12: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park
Enjoy a relaxed breakfast , after which you will transfer to Lake Mburo National Park. The journey takes you through major cities in Uganda, including Kabale and Mbarara, among many many. Upon arrival, you will check in at your accommodation and have the rest of the day enjoying your stay at the lodge .
Day 13: Guided Nature Walk and Relaxing
Start the day with a guided nature walk through Lake Mburo National Park, where you will have an opportunity to spot several animals. The nature walk brings you close to animals like zebras, giraffes, and several antelope species, including elands, impalas, and so many others. Spend the rest of the day relaxing at your accommodation.
Day 14: Return to Entebbe / Departure
After breakfast, drive back to Kampala or Entebbe, driving on the Masaka-Kampala road. You will have a stopover at the equator where you can participate in the water experiment that clearly shows the difference between the Southern and Northern Hemispheres. Continue and embark on your journey that brings you 14 days of primates and wildlife in Uganda safari to an end with unforgettable experiences.
