Day One: Transfer to Nyungwe national park

Wake up early for a morning breakfast after which our driver / guide will pick you up and you drive to the south Western part of Rwanda. Stopover in Butare to check out the university and national museum. Embark on your journey to the park and check in at Nyungwe house, after lunch go for a canopy walk enjoy the above view of the entire park. Dinner and overnight as above.

Day two: Chimpanzee trekking

After a very early breakfast, you will be driven to the briefing point by your driver where you will meet other tourists going for the same. Along with your porter you will be led by an armed game ranger to go and trek man’s closest cousins.

After which you will return to your lodge for lunch, check out and enroute to Lake Kivu to enjoy the beach life. Overnight and dinner at Lake Kivu Serena.

Day three: Boat Cruise and beach life at Lake Kivu

After a morning breakfast enjoy a morning boat cruise and sunrise after which you will be transferred to Volcanoes national park in Kinigi. Dinner and overnight at 5volcnoes.

Day four: Gorilla trekking

Wake up very early and after a very early breakfast around 5am enroute to the park headquarters for briefing after which you will go into the jungle in search of gorillas.You will be welcomed with a cup of coffee at the park head quarters in Kinigi town .After assembling in groups specifically the gorilla trekking groups , you will be assigned to a given gorilla family say Susa or Amahoro after which you will drive to the starting point .  In groups of eight you will walk through the lush forests of  bamboo trees and other vegetation . Following the trails of your ranger who is in communication with the trackers you will then find your gorilla family , after bonding and taking photos of the gorillas you will then head back led by your ranger to meet you driver   and return to the lodge for lunch and relax at your lodge. An evening optional visit the Ellen de Generous dian Fossey museum to see more about the history of gorillas and Dian Fosseys project in conserving the gorillas.

Day five: Enroute back to Kigali for flight.

Wake up and after breakfast there is  visit to the biwachu local community, enjoy the special treatments by the community and special dances to welcome you also learning of the great culture of the Rwandese. After which you will start your journey through Musanze town. Drive through the scenic views of the land of a thousand hills enjoying the drive to Kigali airport to catch your flight back home.
